As a Therapist

Hello! I'm a clinical psychologist and the founder of Mindspan Clinic, a private practice dedicated to supporting individuals of all ages on their mental health journey. Whether you're an adult navigating the challenges of life or you're a parent looking for a therapist for your struggling child or teen, I offer a warm and supportive space for individuals to explore their concerns and process their thoughts and emotions, as well as develop new skills to overcome their difficulties and achieve their goals.

I take a collaborative approach to therapy, integrating evidence-based techniques with the needs and preferences of the individual. I have experience working with a range of concerns, including but not limited to anxiety, OCD, low mood and depression, life stress, trauma, and family and relationship difficulties.

I've previously worked in a variety of settings, including university clinics, public and community mental health (e.g., SLHD Rivendell Child, Adolescent, and Family Mental Health Service), and other private practices. On my non-private practice days, I work as a clinical psychologist in the WSLHD Westmead Anxiety Treatment and Research Unit, a specialist clinic for adults with anxiety disorders.

One of the things I love about being a psychologist is that I never stop learning. I enjoy developing my skills and learning new therapy approaches, as well as training other mental health professionals. I regularly give lectures on cognitive behavioural therapy to post-graduate medical students during their psychiatry placements. I've also completed my PhD, investigating the brain mechanisms and pathways involved in fear and anxiety, and presented this at national and international conferences.

As a Human

Outside of work, I enjoy travelling the world. Whether it's immersing myself in different cultures, trying delicious and interesting cuisines, or discovering hidden (and not so hidden) gems, travel is how I fill my cup. Back home, you'll often find me binging new tv shows and movies, playing board games with friends, or baking sweet treats. But my greatest joy comes from spending quality time with my husband and our senior rescue cat, Mollie.

Everyone has a story. I look forward to meeting you and hearing yours.
